Q: What areas of research does InHealth sponsor?
InHealth’s current research focus is on understanding the social and economic impact of medical technology. Specifically, grants are in progress examining the role of technology in neonatal intensive care and cardiovascular disease, and its impact on human capital. A grant has also been funded to study the effect of increased access to CT and MRI diagnostics. Finally, InHealth has funded a project to document the device development process from bench to bedside and to differentiate it from the path taken by pharmaceutical products. In total, InHealth has awarded $2.7 million in grants since May, 2005.

Q: How does InHealth guarantee the integrity of the findings?
InHealth's Board has adopted the Uniform Requirements for Biomedical Journal Manuscripts issued by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors. This governing policy protects investigators from the influence of special interests and assures bias-free methodologies and complete reporting of results/findings.
