Requests for Proposals

InHealth’s research focus in 2010 is to explore the broader economic impact of medical technologies—from diagnostics to devices—at two essential levels of society. First, what has been the impact of advanced technologies and innovation on the healthcare delivery system itself? And second, how have innovations in medical technology affected human capital and labor productivity?

InHealth seeks proposals that break new ground in understanding the impact of technological advances on the economy. With regard to the healthcare system, investigators will propose how they will go beyond traditional measures and examine changes in health system delivery models and costs, and their economic effects on patients, families, and businesses.

Similarly, InHealth wants to deepen our understanding of how medical technology affects disability levels, absenteeism, workers’ compensation costs, and labor productivity. Further, proposals will examine the impact of these changes on families’ economic lives and on corporations.

InHealth's Research Council guides the research agenda funded by InHealth's Board of Directors.
