InHealth is pleased to announce its symposium, Medical Technology: Breaking Barriers between the Bench and the Bedside, the first in a series of educational programs aimed at providing objective information and credible insights about the role of medical technology innovation in society, the economy and people's lives.
The focus of Breaking Barriers between the Bench and the Bedside will be on the regulatory, financial and other policy challenges that influence America's ability to sustain its role as the engine of medical technology development - and on possible solutions that will encourage continuing innovation for patient benefit.
Leaders from government, academia and the private sector (listed below), representing a range of health care interest and perspectives, will conduct dynamic discussions around such issues as:
InHealth's goal in convening Breaking Barriers between the Bench and the Bedside is to advance understanding and find common ground to deepen understanding of the challenges ahead and create a platform for advancing potential solutions. Each participant in this program will have a voice in shaping the meeting's final conclusions and the agenda for the future.
In addition to the panel discussions, the symposium will invite audience dialogue with the keynote speakers. The proceedings and other materials will be made available afterwards. The discussion may also prompt additional gatherings or spur new areas of research.
