Randall L. Johnson is the Director of Human Resources Strategic Initiatives for Motorola, representing the company on human resources legislation and regulations in both Washington D.C. and state governments. In this role, he serves as the spokesperson for Motorola on Human Resources matters such as health care, education, Social Security and Medicare reform, retirement plans, compensation and stock programs, flexible workforce and immigration.

In February 2005, Mr. Johnson was appointed by the U.S. Comptroller General to Chair the Citizens’ Health Care Working Group, which conduct hearings and makes recommendations to the President and Congress on potential solutions to the U.S. health care crisis, per the Medicare Modernization Act.

He has served as Vice Chairman of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act Industry Committee (ERIC) Board of Directors, and serves on the ERIC Retirement Committee and Health Policy Committee, of which he is the Chairperson.  He is a member of the American Benefits Council (ABC) Board of Directors, Retirement Policy Committee, of which he has served as the Chairperson, and Health Care Policy Committee.  Mr. Johnson is a member of the Business Roundtable Health and Retirement Coordinating Committee, the Education and Workforce Coordinating Committee, the Consumer-Purchaser Disclosure Project Leadership Team and the eHealth Initiative Employer Advisory Board.

Mr. Johnson was was awarded the Distinguished Service Award as a member of the WorldatWork’s Board of Directors, is currently an instructor in WorldatWork health care and retirement seminars and has been honored as a “WorldatWork Lifetime Member.”

Mr. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin.
