Daniel F. Evans, Jr. is President and Chief Executive Officer of Clarian Health Partners, one of the largest health care systems in the United States. Clarian is an academic medical center containing Indiana University School of Medicine, the second largest medical school in the U.S. and presently is the site of nearly 4000 research projects. Mr. Evans has been active on the Clarian board of directors since its formation in 1997 and served as its chairman from 2000-2002.
From 1985 to December 2002, Mr. Evans was an attorney and partner with Baker & Daniels, a firm comprised of more than 200 professionals with offices in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, South Bend, Washington D.C. and China. Mr. Evans was previously chairman of Sagamore Associates, a governmental relations firm that is a subsidiary of Baker & Daniels, headquartered in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Evans was selected by President George H. W. Bush to serve as the first chairman of the Federal Housing Finance Board in December 1990. For the three years prior, Mr. Evans was chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis. From 1984 to 1989 Mr. Evans served on the Administrative Conference of the United States.
