Jack W. Lasersohn is a Partner with the Vertical Group, a venture capital firm focused on medical technology and biotechnology that manages private partnerships with a "vertical" range of investments including: early and late venture stage companies; private operating companies involved in buy-out or corporate spin-off transactions; and public companies of all sizes. The Vertical Group is the successor to the venture capital division of F. Eberstadt & Co., and has been an independent firm since 1988.

Mr. Lasersohn has over twenty years of experience in health care venture capital investments.  Prior to joining The Vertical Group’s predecessor, F. Eberstadt in 1981, he was a corporate attorney with Cravath, Swaine & Moore.  Mr. Lasersohn currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Alsius Corporation, Bracchus Vascular, Inc., Ensure Medical, Kyphon Inc., Masimo Corporation, Metabolix, Inc., OnComed, Photothera, Proteolix and Timi3 Systems, Inc.

Mr. Lasersohn received a B.S. in Physics from Tufts University, an M.A. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
