David W. Feigel, Jr., M.D., M.P.H. is a former Director of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH).   In 2004, he stepped down from CDRH and is currently a Partner in NDA Partners, LLP, Research Professor at the Arizona Biodesign Center and an Adjunct Professor in the Law School at Arizona State University.

At CDRH, Dr. Feigel was an advocate for the Center’s Science and Education programs and worked with Congress and Industry to launch a user fee program that lays the groundwork for funding CDRH’s future.

Prior to working at the FDA, Dr. Feigel was with the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego with joint appointments in the Departments of Medicine and Epidemiology and Biostatistics.  He completed his internal medicine residency training at the University of California at Davis and fellowship in clinical epidemiology at the University of California at San Francisco.

Dr. Feigel holds an M.D. from Stanford University and an M.P.H. from the University of California, Berkeley.
